How do I record a word?

Tap the menu button in the top left of the home screen, choose Settings and solve the math problem, or use Face ID or Touch ID. Go to Sound and voice → Family voices, pick a card and record. To make new cards with your own pictures, use Custom categories under Content (Bumle+).

Do recordings sync between iPad and iPhone?

No. Recordings stay on the device where you recorded them. To get them onto another device, open the voice in Family voices, share it as a voice pack (.bumlepack, requires Bumle+) and open the pack in Bumle on the other device. Child profiles with their progress can sync via iCloud if you turn it on in Parental control.

Did I lose my recordings when I switched phones?

Recordings are encrypted with a key that only exists on the phone they were recorded on, so they don't move to a new phone, not even from a backup. If you still have the old phone, share each voice as a voice pack and open it on the new one. Child profiles can come back from iCloud: turn on iCloud sync in Parental control on the new phone, if it was on on the old one.
